About OnePassPhoto

OnePassPhoto turns an ordinary phone selfie into a compliant US passport photo. We built it around one idea: a photo is only worth buying if it actually meets the official rules. If yours does not, we tell you, instead of altering you.

Who runs OnePassPhoto

OnePassPhoto is an independent service run by Sven Perlberg, based in Berlin, Germany. It is not a marketplace reselling another lab's template. We research and maintain the compliance checks, the specification and the copy on the site ourselves. You can reach a real person at help@onepassphoto.com.

How the check works

When you send a selfie, we measure it against the official US passport rules: the size, the head position, the background, the lighting and the expression. We never retouch, smooth or AI-edit you. We only set the regulation head size and make the background plain white when it is not already. If something is off, a hard shadow, glare on glasses, a smile where a neutral face is required, or the wrong crop, we tell you what is wrong and ask you to retake it, rather than pass along a photo that gets turned down at the counter.

Where our requirements come from

Every requirement we check comes from the official source, the U.S. Department of State, and we verify it before it goes live. The source is linked on the requirements page so you can confirm it yourself. When a rule changes, we update the page and note when we last checked it.

Your photo and your money

You see a free preview and the result of the check before you pay. If a photo you bought from us is ever turned down, we refund you in full. Your uploads are used only to make your photo, then deleted automatically. You do not need an account, and we do not keep your images.
