  2. 2 We size it and check every rule. We set your head to the regulation 1 to 1⅜ inch, swap the background to plain white only if it is not already, and check the size, position, lighting, background and expression against every official U.S. Department of State rule.
  3. 3 See the result. You find out whether it passes before you pay. If something can only be fixed at the camera, like a hard shadow or the wrong expression, we tell you to retake it and explain exactly why.
